THE
NINE STONES ARTISTS
The
Nine Stones Artists group was formed in March 2004. Its members
are professional artists all of whom are based in the foothills
of the Blackstairs Mountains in South County Carlow. The group
takes its name from the Nine Stones lookout point on Mount Leinster.
The diversity of work and mediums used by the artists is exceptional.
There are woodworkers, sculptors and installation artists. There
are a number of photographers who each interpret the landscape
and its inhabitants in a different manner. The painters use fabrics
rich in the hues of the ever-changing pallet of the land.

the smaller garden.
